| LONG BIO (written by Sarah ) |
| I was born Aug 20/1980 Toronto,Ontario,Canada to Mona and Dave Rosete. My mother is of Swedish and my father is a Filipino and Russian mix. I have an older sister Malinda who is a school teacher and two beautiful nieces Mia adn Hanna. I also have 2 younger brother's, Jonathan and Jusin who are students. Music was always big in my household and after displaying a passion for dancing around the house trying to copy my big sis it was obvious to my parents that I needed to be enrolled in dance classes. I was 6 years old when I began tap and jazz classes and fell in love. I attended Claude Watson School for the Arts and I still remember the day I auditoned. I was 9 years old and I had the sickest routine that Malinda choreographed to Rob Base's It takes 2. From Claude Watson I was able to stay in the arts program and transfer to Earl Haig for High School. High School was the best for me because there were so many different programs in the arts that you could get involved in. My favorite was probably the school fashion show that I modeled in for 4yrs and got to choreograph in my last year. I also had my own hip hop/ jazz/lyrical jazz group that I choreographed numbers for assemblies and various school shows.I also belonged to a dance school outside of regular school where I got to compete in dancing. Between both schools I got the chance to train ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical jazz, musical theater, modern dance, national dance, and square dancing. I always new that whatever I was going to be doing in the future would be dance/performance related because that was the only thing that truly made me happy and what I was really truly good at. After attending Ryerson University for a semester I knew it was't for me. I started modeling in music videos in the U.S. that year for directors lil X and Hype Williams and after getting a taste of the scene my foccus quickly shifted on making it to the U.S. and dancing on a tour . Everything kinda just fell into place after that. I jumped on a greyhound bus to New York City and stayed with friends looking for work. Lil X had reffered me to the modelling agency Willhelmina models and from there they sponsered my visa so I was able to work in the U.S. for 3 yrs. Living in New York for that summer of 2000 I realized that that was not the place to be for a dancing carreer and if I wanted to make a living of this then I would have to move to LA. Literally 4 or 5 months after moving to LA I was asked to fill in one of the spots for some one that had dropped out of the Usher 8701 tour and they would be leaving in 2 and half weeks for Europe. The spot was supose to be between me and 2 other girls but when the other girls did not show up to the audition they were like,"alright.... you'll do".Luck was on my side that day boy. After rockin Europe and the U.S, award shows and videos with the kid everything started to die down. In the midst of the madness I met and fell madly in love with one of usher's dancer's/choreographers Earl "Punch" Wright. After dating him for a while we became pregnant and I gave birth to a beautious little girl, Phoenix Linnea Rosete-Wright on March 19/03 in Toronto, Canada. Shortly after returning to LA I ended up touring again for the artist Tamia on the Verizon Ladies first Tour that Beyonce headlined. A couple of months after that I jumped on the Usher Confessions tour. That year was a crazy year because of how succesful the album was. After the tour Lesley, Binkie,Naomi and I got together to join Electrik Red and have been focussing mainly on the group besides a few gigs we'll take here and there to pay the bills. If everything goes as planned the next tour I'll be talking about being on will be our own Electrik Red tour. I have been blessed with this amazing talent and having the most supportive family and friends. Without these people in my life there is no way I would have been able to acomplish half of what I have and there is still so much more for the world to see of Sarah. |
